One of the main aims of the EUROPA CANTAT Pécs 2015 festival is to open gates: to bring new and fresh music to singers and musicians, to join composer and conductor hand-in-hand!

For nearly 20 of the ateliers therefore composers from all around the world have been commissioned to write a brand new piece upon the topic of that specific workshop. The composers are already working on this music, constantly being in touch and discussing the process with the leading conductor of the atelier. All composers are invited to attend the first performance of their piece at the festival next summer.
