Koenraad De Meulder has been professionally involved in the choir world since 1992, first as general secretary of the choir organisation Algemeen Nederlands Zangverbond, afterwards as coordinator of the Flemish choir federation Koorfederatie Vlaanderen.
Currently, he is general manager of Koor&Stem vzw, the organisation for vocal music and choirs in Flanders.
He is an active member of the Hearts in Harmony network of the European Choral Association. In 2012 he was elected by the General Assembly as boardmember and treasurer of the European Choral Association.

But are we always taking into account individuals and groups at risk of exclusion when designing, organising and evaluating an event or an activity? The Hearts in Harmony Network wants to create awareness by implementing inclusion concepts in choral or social events.
The lecture will focus on the results of the inclusion activities realized in different parts of Europe. You will learn that the choir community can really makes the difference when it comes to the inclusion of individuals and groups at risk of exclusion in our society.
