Participants will have an opportunity to sing, dance and learn about different Serbian and Balkan dances during this atelier. The five ethno-choreological regions of Serbian dances will be presented, from simple dances with easy steps, sometimes slow, and sometimes fast, all the way to more complicated ones, such as imitative dances from the agricultural cycle and dances with irregular rhythms and even the most archaic magic rites.
The singing will be unison or in easy arrangements, depending on the group applied for this workshop.
The ensemble of traditional folk instruments will accompany the workshop.
