VIDEOS/SOUNDS CONNECTED TO THE ATELIER TOPIC

It is often the music that transforms a film from being just good to being brilliant. In this atelier we will explore the world of film soundtracks. We will sing catchy tunes from famous films as well as classical film songs, but we will also explore the possibilities of creating an orchestral sound in the context of choir – with voices only.

During the atelier we will work on an interactive horror film, taking place in the spectators’ head, a Lord of the Rings medley, various songs and passages from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Forrest Gump, The Matrix…

Highlight of the course will be a short movie, shown during the concert, that we will be scoring live on stage, using both prepared parts as well as improvised music and sounds, just as movie pianists did in the 1920s.

Join us for an exciting atelier singing some of the best highlights from the
international film music repertoire as well as improvising cinematic sounds and music.

"Catchy tunes from famous films sung in a choir - become part of a vocal orchestra singing Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars…"
