Jelena Jovanović (Belgrade, 1964), PhD ethnomusicologist , Research Associate in the Institute of Musicology of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. Her researches are mainly based on her own field work and practical approach to traditional songs. The main fields of her interest are traditional Serbian and Balkan vocal tradition(s), topics of Applied Ethnomusicology and aspects of performance in traditional music.
