In this atelier you will get to know some exciting music written in Sweden, Finland and Canada.

The songs of the super-group ABBA is famous all over the world. Here you will sing a medley of no less than eight of their biggest hits in a splendid a cappella version by Roine Jansson.

One of Shakespeare's most wonderful sonnets, "Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day", is set to music by the Swedish jazz musician Nils Lindberg and the result is a gorgeous, intimate, swinging ballad.

Two arrangements by the atelier conductor, Robert Sund, will give you some fun experiences: in "Alouette", the well-known French-Canadian folksong, the different parts in the choir are expected to show their special characteristics, and "La Cucaracha" is a virtuoso, humoristic and playful version of this famous Mexican folksong.

The Finnish contribution is an exquisite and delicate composition by the Rajaton member Mia Makaroff: a 6-part song called Butterfly.

And finally a very special version of Loch Lomond, a Scottish folksong, elegantly varied by the Vancouver arranger Jonathan Quick.

"If you like to have fun when you sing, if you are young at heart, if you are a curious person, if you think energy is important in choir singing and if you are an experienced singer with good sightreading abilities - this is definitely an atelier for you! Hope to see you there!"
