Voisingers, ambassador choir of the EUROPA CANTAT XIX Pécs 2015 choir festival invited three choirs for a new initiative, the Choir Fun Challenge, to sing a short exerpt from their own repertoire in a specified manner defined by the challenger choir, ex. in an unusual position, location, and outfit. Every choir has two weeks to accomplish the challenge, by recording the performance with any suitable devices (should be approx. 1 min. long). The invited choirs are:

Bartók Béla Male Choir (HU)
University of Manitoba Singers (CA)
Choir of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik- USEK (LB)

Our aim with these funny videos is to refresh the existing grey picture of choir singing. We would like to show that singing in a choir can be fun, energizing, positive, happy and can have so many different ways.

You can also join us and start to challenge your friends. Please follow our description if you wish to start a new challenge:

You shall make a video (a short excerpt from your own repertoire) in an unusual manner, ex. in an unusual position, location, and outfit. Invite 3 choirs to do the same, but you can also define the unusual manner they should perform.

Every choir has two weeks to accomplish the challenge, by recording the performance with any suitable devices (should be approx. 1 min. long) and uploading to their YouTube channel with the following title:

“Choir Fun Challenge – EUROPA CANTAT Pécs 2015, name of your choir”

(if you don’t have a youtube channel, please send the video to musicoffice@ecpecs2015.hu and we will upload it to the account of EUROPA CANTAT Pécs 2015)

At the end of the video, the choirs should shout our slogan: „we are Hung(a)ry for singing!”. This will unify all the videos.
