Saint Ephraim Male Choir: St. Ephreme Male Choir has become one of Hungary’s most popular vocal groups for the last 13 years. The choir has toured in 16 countries on 3 continents and released 8 CDs. Their most important aim is to explore the traditions of the Byzantine rituals, the vocal tradition of Hungarian male choirs and the performance of the male chorus repertoire. The founder and conductor is Tamás Bubnó, who was honoured with the Hungarian Liszt award. They will perform a programme entitled ’Byzantine Mosaic’ during the Europa Cantat Festival.
