Night of Choirs
The Night of Choirs was organized with great success for the second time in Budapest on 24th May, 2014.

The Night of Choirs was first organized in 2013 by Halastó Public Association in the 8th district, Józsefváros, of Budapest. On 25th May, 2014 the district was echoing again from vocal music, songs filled the squares, streets and buildings. The final song that was composed specifically for this occasion was sung by hundreds of enthusiastic voices, performers as well as the audience, on crowded Mikszath square, one of the most central squares of the city. The aim of the one-night-long concert series at the Night of Choirs is to show the diversity of vocal music and the great force in singing together by inviting choirs and performers from a wide range of musical genres, from classical music to folk music, jazz, world music, and choir improvisation. You can also experience how contemporary and traditional choir music can go hand in hand in the 21st century.

A special edition of the Night of the Choirs will be organised during the EUROPA CANTAT Pécs 2015 Festival!
